CAPT (DR) MOHD FUAD BIN OMAR

Capt (Dr) Mohd Fuad Bin Omar was born in Batu Pahat, Johor on 14 August 1964, He grew up as a Kampong boy until 12 years old where he followed his father to Johor Baru. He completed his SPM as Jaffarian in 1981 with actively in Sports such as Hockey, Football and Softball. He joined Cadet School immediately after his SPM results in 1982 and commission as an Infantry Officer in Jul 1983. He served the country thru the end of Communist Campaign in 1991 and resigned on date in 1994 after serving 12 years of service. During the service, he joined several Malaysian Jungle missions, UN missions as Battalion Mission in Cambodia, Somalia and lastly as Observer Mission in Bosnia. He has wide experiences in Leadership, Command and Control in War and managing Human Resources while serving in the Military.

In 1994, he had joined several corporate Company such as MBf Building Services, Road Builder, Olympia Group, Hong Leong, Nestle Product, MMC Engineering (MRT CLQ Project) and at present with MSM Holding as Vice President in Supply Chain and Logistic. His strength was managing the Facilities and Maintenance process including relocation of office, PMC in renovation and resetting of Manufacturing engineering process and at present he is leading the Supply Chain and Logistic with the most important Sugar Company in Malaysia. Along the corporate journey, he had successfully completed his Professional study up to PhD level and he had completed his IEM examination and waiting to be awarded with his Ir status.

In MRT CLQ project, he had tremendously exercised a good performance in transforming the most systematic CLQ for labour quarter. Not only in CLQ developing and also on how to manage the workers within the CLQ with great controlling the worker’s welfare. Without any hesitation he has work with CIDB and SIRIM to established The Malaysian Standard as a guide for all Construction player to follow. In 2017, MRT CLQ’s has successfully collaborate with JTK (Jabatan Tenaga Kerja) to synchronise and standardise the CLQ requirements in to JTK 446 Acts and the CLQ’s project therefore been certified by JTK as the best practise for Foreign worker’s facilities. In 2018, he also involved in Technical Working Committee with Plan Malaysia (under the TPM office) in setting up the guideline for industries that involved with Foreign workers in Malaysia.

In MSM Holding as Supply Chain and Logistic, he had to explore his ability in managing human resources and Customer services. The most challenging in managing supply chain is quality deliveries to customer and managing fleet drivers in logistic. In total, this post had blend me to be more precise and accurate in managing Human engineering and solution maker. With another 4 years to go for pension world, this career shall be the most hectic moment of his career life to end up before his most precious 42 years’ career end.

With all experiences above, there is no doubt of his qualification, knowledge, leadership, command and control in many ways of making the industries grow especially involve in Foreign Labour. He is also one of the speakers in CIDB seminar sharing his expertise with all contractors pertaining to CLQ Development and Operations. With last post as Supply Chain and Logistic, he shall complete his career circles and he shall share his moment and experiences with the interested new generation.
